Description
L10 is our mid-size PalloFrame. It has strength and size optimal for most scenarios.
This is our do-it-yourself kit version of L10 - You need time, tools and a little patience to build it. For further details about L10, please see the page of the fully assembled version.
The full assembly usually takes something from some hours to a full working day.
The kit contains
- 18 Square base pieces
- 8 Triangle pieces
- 100 M3 bolts and 100 M3 nuts (96 needed each)
- Additional 200 M3 nuts for the top-facing module connections (192 needed)
- Build instructions and other required papers
Following tools are necessary but not included
- 2.4 mm Hex key (aka. Allen Key)
- Forceps for inserting the M3 nuts of the module connections. Alternatives like a flat-headed screw drive will work also
- Use safety goggles when assembling
- Be careful with the triangle base pieces - their corners are stabbing sharp
- Tighten the bolts firmly but with little force - Otherwise the frame can shatter and lose its strength.
- Observe the base pieces are well aligned before tightening
- The module connection nuts have to go in their sides pointing side-ways (their corner pointing towards the inset) in order them to be on their thinnest and fit in
- 3D printing is not always perfect. Too tight module connection insets can be slightly compressed from the overhangs side with the forceps. If the inset is too loose, the nut can be fixated on its place with hot-glue / glue or by melting and pushing the plastic a little with a soldering iron set to +130C, creating a barrier
